Okay. My landlord took away the internet because we use it too much. I’m not sure if I’ll have it for the rest of my time here. Super annoying. He also sent me a text message threatening to bolt my window shut permanently if I didn’t shut it even if I leave the house “4 a min or 2.” This guy sucks so hard. Is it worth looking for a new place? No. But man he sucks.
Facebook and other distractors are blocked at the school so if you read this, and talk to me via facebook; stop. I don’t think I’ll be able to check it for a few weeks unless I go to a free wifi spot somewhere in the city.
I’m starting to become frustrated with Australia. The people in it, the operating hours, and…well just mostly with the people in it, or the people around me. Get my bed ready, I’m coming home in a month.
This weekend was pretty good. Not much to report. I saw the movie Moon. It was good. It’s not exactly 2001: A Space Odyssey like you think it would be. It’s in that style, the style before Star Wars killed the thinking man’s sci-fi film. See it. Tell me what you think.
I ran into an Ames High graduate at the Sydney Opera House Open Day yesterday. Yeah. Crazy. Turns out he graduated with my sister and her fiance. He was wearing an Iowa State Cyclones t-shirt when I approached him and told him I grew up in Ames. Small world.
I’m in my school now. Not doing much of anything, a few of the teachers here are brilliant and I really enjoy watching them teach. A few are pretty bad and have no skills when it comes to classroom management. Really bad.
I also got a goldfish and named him Marvin.

It’s funny. I really like writing. I love it. The irony though, is that I’m bad at reading. Like really bad at it. I enjoy it, but I get discouraged by it, because I’m so bad at it. So I love all these script writers and comedians etc, so my favorite authors are people like Paul Feig, Aaron Sorkin, and Ricky Gervais. All people that have written funny and socially aware television shows.
